The Web Applications Developer Role
The Web Application Developer creates and maintains IPA’s suite of applications and supports staff to produce creative, high-impact tools for clients. Primary responsibilities for this position include:
- Developing and maintaining internal and external web applications
- Working with other development team members and product management to scope features
- Evaluating the technical feasibility and security of UI/UX designs created in Figma by our design team
The Web Applications Developer will also have the opportunity to participate in new product development efforts. Some very interesting challenges are likely, and the company is looking for someone who relishes the opportunities and demands this setting provides. In this position, you will always be encouraged and expected to contribute ideas to improve the company’s technology and products.
Core Qualifications
- Ability to work with Git and in Unix environments
- Familiarity with Agile development
- Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize and multi-task
- Self-motivated and able to work with little supervision
Education and Experience
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Experience with technology stack (i.e., TypeScript, React, Tailwind, TanStack, Python, Django, DRF, Docker, and AWS) and relational databases is advantageous
Location
The role is located in our office in Ashburn, VA, and would suit someone who likes to work collaboratively in an office in a supportive community of developers.
Competitive Salary and Benefits Package
The annual base salary range for this position is $65,000 to $100,000. Compensation is negotiable and based on the candidate’s qualifications and experience.
