Machine/Forms Finishing Operator

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Machine/Forms Finishing Operator is responsible for the efficient setup, operation, and maintenance of finishing equipment, including collators, rotary die cutters, encoding systems, booklet makers, and related machinery. This role plays a critical part in ensuring production goals, quality standards, and safety protocols are consistently met within the forms and machine finishing area.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Set up, adjust, and operate finishing equipment to produce high-quality jobs in accordance with production standards.

· Review job tickets to determine job specifications, including quantity, stock type, and special instructions.

· Monitor production runs and make necessary adjustments to ensure product quality and minimize downtime.

· Conduct routine quality checks and adhere to safety guidelines throughout the production process.

· Perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting on equipment to ensure optimal performance.

· Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with company safety and housekeeping policies.

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Self-motivated, dependable team player with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.

· Proven mechanical aptitude with the ability to quickly learn and operate complex machinery.

· Previous experience operating production or finishing equipment, including troubleshooting and quality control processes.

· Strong math and problem-solving skills.

· Ability to follow written and verbal instructions with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
