Overview
We are a well-established, high-volume independent community pharmacy with a steady flow of regular patients and new prescriptions daily. We are looking for an experienced, reliable, and motivated pharmacy technician to join our team.
Responsibilities
- Accurately fill and prepare prescriptions under pharmacist supervision.
- Assist customers at the register and provide excellent customer service.
- Enter prescription information into the pharmacy system and process prescriptions.
- Answer phone calls and assist patients with prescription inquiries.
- Help manage daily pharmacy operations and maintain an organized workspace.
- Process insurance claims and resolve billing issues when needed.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a pharmacy technician, preferably in a retail or independent community pharmacy.
- Familiarity with pharmacy software, prescription processing, and data entry.
- Basic knowledge of medications, medical terminology, and pharmacy calculations.
- Understanding of pharmacy regulations and patient confidentiality requirements.
- Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume pharmacy.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on patient care.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish strongly preferred.
- Dependable, detail-oriented, and able to work well with a team.
Pay: From $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 35.0 per week
