The Programming Analyst plays a essential role in developing, maintaining, and optimizing software applications that support healthcare operations and patient services. This position focuses on analyzing complex data sets, designing efficient programming solutions, and ensuring the integrity and security of healthcare information systems. The Programming Analyst collaborates closely with clinical staff, IT teams, and management to translate healthcare requirements into technical specifications and actionable software enhancements. Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Health Informatics, or a related field.
- 3 years of experience with programming languages such as COBOL, SQL, Python, Java, or C#.
- Experience working with healthcare data systems, electronic health records (EHR), or health information management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex healthcare data.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations and standards, including HIPAA compliance.
- Relevant experience may substitute for educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Health Informatics, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- Experience with clearinghouses, vendors, and external trading partners, including file transmission, validation, and error resolution.
- Familiarity with IBM mainframe computing environments and DevOps practices.
- Knowledge of Agile development methodologies and DevOps practices.
