Independent Living Specialist

We will soon begin a new residential program working with two wonderful ladies in Oshkosh, and we invite you to come join us for this new and exciting opportunity! We are currently hiring for all shifts.
**$300 sign-on bonus after 120 days of successful employment.**

We are Independent Journeys, Inc., a non-profit organization serving the diverse needs of Wisconsin’s developmentally disabled population for the last fifteen years. Established by two people who worked inside of group homes and didn’t like what they saw, they took the beliefs of personal choice, community inclusion, and a heightened quality of life and formed this organization to support individuals with care, dignity, and respect.
It is our mission to provide person centered services that facilitate independent home living, active community participation, and personal enrichment. We feel that a sense of comfort and safety is best achieved when an individual has a home to call their own, within a community where they are accepted as neighbors and valued for their uniqueness.

*Facilitate exciting excursions into the community to enjoy local attractions and events
*Enjoy & participate in leisure activities & hobbies of interest to the individual

*Create opportunities for individuals to try new things, allow for their own choices, reach & achieve new goals, and make new friends and memories
*Assist with some personal cares

*A competitive starting wage of $13-$15 hourly: Wage is negotiable depending on your experience, creative ambition, and desire to make a positive impact.
