We are seeking a skilled and versatile Handy Man to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a broad range of maintenance skills and experience, enabling them to address various tasks in residential and commercial settings. This role requires a proactive individual who can work independently, manage time effectively, and provide excellent customer service.
Duties
- Perform general maintenance and repairs across facilities, including plumbing, electrical work, and HVAC systems.
- Execute welding tasks as needed for repairs or installations.
- Utilize programmable logic controllers for troubleshooting and maintenance of equipment.
- Interpret schematics to effectively diagnose issues and implement solutions.
- Conduct residential painting projects with attention to detail and quality.
- Oversee facilities maintenance to ensure all areas are safe and operational.
- Maintain accurate records using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Provide leadership and supervision to junior staff or contractors during projects.
- Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing client needs and concerns promptly.
Requirements
- Proven experience in maintenance roles with a strong mechanical knowledge base.
- Proficiency in electrical systems, including the use of an ohmmeter for testing.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes and facilities maintenance practices.
- Strong ability to read and interpret schematics for various systems.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Previous supervisory experience is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong customer service orientation with a focus on quality workmanship.
