As they continue to expand operations, we are seeking a skilled Quality Control Manager to lead and improve our quality assurance systems across production.
Job Summary
The Quality Control Manager oversees all aspects of product quality within our manufacturing facility. This role ensures that every machine and component meets Sort-Rite’s standards and customer specifications before shipment. The ideal candidate has experience in mechanical manufacturing or industrial equipment, is detail-oriented, and thrives in a hands-on production environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance policies, procedures, and inspection standards.
- Supervise and train QC inspectors and production staff on quality standards.
- Inspect and test materials, components, and finished products for defects or deviations.
- Coordinate non-conformance reports (NCRs) and corrective/preventive action processes.
- Maintain calibration schedules and quality documentation.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to identify and resolve manufacturing issues.
- Review supplier quality and incoming materials to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Prepare quality reports, inspection logs, and audit documentation for management and clients.
- Ensure compliance with ISO, OSHA, and other regulatory or customer standards.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product reliability and reduce rework.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in quality control or quality management within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of mechanical inspection, tolerances, and industrial machinery.
- Experience with quality tools
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies is a plus.
- Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and quality management systems (QMS).
