What are the responsibilities and job description for the Home Health Aide position at Independent Caregiver?
Duties
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Support patient with specialized care needs such as catheter care
- Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being
- Use patient confidentiality
- Perform light housekeeping duties including cleaning, laundry, meal preparation, and ensuring a safe living environment for clients.
- Respond promptly to emergency situations by applying first aid or basic life support (CPR), coordinating with emergency services when necessary.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with individuals with disabilities or seniors preferred but not required
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely up to 100 lbs
- Excellent communication skills to engage with clients compassionately
- Basic knowledge of first aid
- Demonstrated ability to work independently in clients’ homes while following all safety protocols.
