Independent Baptist Academy is currently seeking a full-time elementary teacher for a multigrade classroom for the upcoming school year.

This position utilizes the Abeka video program alongside teacher-led instruction, allowing the teacher to guide, support, and reinforce learning while maintaining an orderly and engaging classroom environment.
Position Overview:

- Bachelor’s degree (education or related field preferred)
- Strong classroom management and organizational skills

Responsibilities:
- Oversee and support students during Abeka video instruction
- Provide additional teaching, clarification, and individualized help as needed
- Maintain structure and classroom discipline
- Communicate regularly with parents and administration
- Participate in school and ministry-related activities
Compensation:
Our base salary begins at $31,800, with increases based on education and experience. We also provide a guaranteed 3% cost-of-living increase annually.
While our structure is simpler than larger school systems, many of our staff find that the lower cost of living in Sebring makes this compensation go further. Housing costs in particular are significantly below national averages, which can be a meaningful advantage for families.
