Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Hotel Housekeeper to maintain the cleanliness and overall appearance of our hotel accommodations. The ideal candidate will ensure guest rooms and public areas meet high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation. This role is essential in providing guests with a comfortable and welcoming environment, contributing to their positive experience during their stay. Prior hospitality or janitorial experience is preferred, but a strong work ethic and attention to detail are key. Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces
- Perform floor care tasks such as mopping and carpet cleaning to ensure spotless floors
- Restock amenities and supplies in guest rooms and public areas as needed
- Ensure all cleaning equipment is used safely and maintained properly
- Follow established procedures for sanitation and safety standards in accordance with hotel policies
- Report any maintenance issues or damages observed during cleaning to management
- Maintain cleanliness in hallways, lobbies, restrooms, and other public spaces
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations related to custodial work and industrial cleaning
Experience
- Prior experience in hotel housekeeping, janitorial services, or custodial roles is preferred
- Experience with floor care techniques including carpet cleaning and floor polishing is advantageous
- Knowledge of hospitality standards and customer service principles is a plus
- Familiarity with industrial cleaning equipment and supplies is beneficial
- Previous housekeeping management experience can be valuable for supervisory roles
