About the Role
As a PRN SLP in a skilled nursing setting, you'll provide evaluation and treatment services for residents with speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders, collaborating closely with the interdisciplinary care team.
SNF Practice Highlights

Evaluate and treat residents with communication, cognitive-linguistic, and dysphagia-related needs

Develop and implement individualized plans of care focused on safety, function, and quality of life

Conduct swallowing evaluations and recommend appropriate diet modifications and compensatory strategies

Collaborate with nursing, dietary, and therapy teams to support resident care plans

Provide education to residents, families, and staff as appropriate

Competency training available - support provided for clinicians new to or growing within the SNF setting

Requirements

Current Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license in good standing

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program

ASHA CCC-SLP preferred

Organized, self-directed, and patient-focused

Passion for working with the geriatric population

Skilled nursing facility experience preferred, but motivated clinicians with relevant experience are encouraged to apply
