HS Swimming Head Coach
Independence Local Schools in Cuyahoga County is looking for a High School Head Swim Coach for Independence High School. Previous coaching experience is preferred but not required. Must be organized, hard-working, and demonstrate a strong desire to help build the swim program K-12. The Head Coach will oversee all phases of the program including, but not limited to, swimmer development, monitoring academic success, community relations, youth involvement, and equipment inventory.
The successful candidate will provide leadership to the team that achieves academic and athletic success on a consistent basis. Monitors academic progress; develops training programs that are safe and effective for student-athletes; schedules swim meets and practices in accordance with school policies.
Employment is pursuant upon appropriate background checks and the obtainment of proper CPR, Fundamentals of Coaching, Concussion Management Training, Sudden Cardiac Arrest, and Pupil Activity Supervision Licensure from the Ohio Department of Education.
