Dental Hygienist | Full Time | Midland, TX

We are a busy office, looking for a Dental Hygienist to join our team. We are dedicated to providing a high quality of care and offer 1-hour recare appointments. We value the relationship between the hygienist and dentist and truly look at it is a collaborative effort. Hygienists play a crucial role in our office by educating our patients in the necessity of treatment and routine cleanings. We also take pride in providing our patients with the latest technology available and have a laser available to our hygienists to help with certain aspects of a patient's cleaning.

Responsibilities:

• Perform dental hygiene procedures, including cleaning teeth, taking dental x-rays, and applying fluoride treatments


• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized recommendations for dental care


• Assist the dentist during procedures by handing them instruments and ensuring patient comfort


• Maintain accurate patient records and update medical histories as necessary


• Follow strict infection control protocols and maintain a clean and sterile working environment


• Collaborate with the dental team to provide comprehensive patient care

Requirements:

• Valid Dental Hygienist license in Texas


• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Dental Hygienist


• Proficiency in dental assisting techniques, including taking dental x-rays and using CAD software


• Familiarity with dental office software such as Denticon or Epic for patient record management


• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain patient confidentiality


• Strong understanding of medical terminology and anatomy


• Ability to use aseptic techniques to prevent the spread of infection


• Experience with medical imaging equipment is a plus
