What you will do:
The Developmental Preschool Trainer will support the habilitative and developmental needs of preschool children through the execution of training and mentoring preschool team members.
- Organize and lead the onboarding of new preschool team members as directed by the Senior Director.
- Responsible for training new team members during the onboarding period for attainment of basic competency level as defined by Pediatrics Plus.
- Provide and model classroom management aligning with Pediatrics Plus's policies and procedures.
- Assist with and may complete preschool interviews as needed.
- Organize activities to promote the culture within the preschool team and among all teams at the site.
- Meet with new team members on day one for orientation, review building layout, introduction to other team members, and to establish expectations of job requirements as directed by the Senior Director.
- Model, coach, and train all preschool team members in all classroom activities and in Pediatrics Plus structures and routines.
- Prepare and implement all materials needed for new preschool team members’ skill acquisition of classroom performance.
- Speak in a compassionate, pleasant, and caring voice to children, parents, and staff.
- Train preschool team members in Support Plans in classroom management techniques, teaching techniques, and use of modifications for effective classroom and behavioral management.
- Work to effectively train preschool team members for success and independence in the classroom.
- Step into the role of classroom teacher when needed and complete all tasks for that role as outlined in the job description.
- Model the implementation of individualized classroom treatment plans to maximize the treatment benefits of the children served.
- Assist and coach new preschool team members on completing daily documentation, goal documentation, and/or report writing based upon team member’s job description requirements.
- Participate in the completion of classroom billing via deTASO by signing as indicated.
- Ensure the implementation, modification, and completion of daily curriculum is completed by new preschool team members with excellence and to the standards of Pediatrics Plus’s expectations.
- Participate in each child's development by positive engagement and embedded teaching across all development areas. Display an understanding that teaching occurs all day.
- Ensure the preschool administration and classrooms are following all policies and procedures put in place by Pediatrics Plus, EIDT, AR Childcare Licensing, and the AR Health Department.
- Is familiar with and complies with HIPAA regulations.
- Immediately reports health or safety concerns to the Senior Director or Nurse at site.
- Participate in and/or lead classroom team meetings as needed as guided by Senior Director.
- Participate in and/or lead site meetings and in-services.
- Serve as a role model for all preschool team members in work ethic, company policy/procedure, fidelity of practices, and Pediatrics Plus core values.
- Participate in one-on-one meetings with leader.
- Provide feedback to administration regarding ways to enhance continued improvement of the developmental preschool programming.
- Complete required hours of continuing education as deemed necessary for licensing and other accreditations.

Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Child Development Associate Certificate, preferred.
- Extensive teaching experience in early childhood education or relative discipline.
- Experience teaching adults.
