Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 / hr (Depending on experience)

In this entry-level Inspector Operator role, you will use basic measurement skills to ensure our products meet strict quality standards, with clear pathways to advance into operating converting machinery.

Shift Schedules Available

Flexible shift schedules include both 12-hour and 8-hour options:

• 12-Hour Schedule (2-2-3): Days (6:00 AM - 6:00 PM) or Nights (6:00 PM - 6:00 AM). Must be available to work weekends and holidays.
• 8-Hour Schedule: 2nd Shift (2:00 PM - 10:00 PM) or 3rd Shift (10:00 PM - 6:00 AM).

What You'll Do

• Perform start-up and shutdown procedures on plant equipment.
• Inspect raw materials and finished products visually, monitoring equipment and process conditions to ensure compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Train new inspector operators in the area, reinforcing safety and environmental principles and ensuring standard operating procedures are followed.
• Operate computer interfaces to monitor and adjust process variables.
• Maintain shift logs and communicate key updates during shift handoffs to ensure safe, continuous, and efficient plant operations.
• Communicate effectively with operators and maintenance personnel regarding shift updates, equipment status, and potential fixes.
• Acquire knowledge of facility operations, equipment, instrumentation, and processes.
• Report any incidents or near misses affecting Safety, Health, or the Environment.

What You'll Need

• Measurement Skills: Ability to read a standard ruler accurately (measurements down to 1/16 of an inch).
• Experience: Manufacturing experience preferred, but not required.
• Technical Skills: Basic computer skills and mechanical aptitude. Knowledge of pouch/bag making, bag/pouch machinery, and film handling/troubleshooting is a plus.
• Communication: Solid verbal and written communication skills in English or Spanish.
• Organization: Strong organizational skills and sharp attention to detail.

Physical Demands

• Ability to stand for up to 12 hours per day on a day or evening shift, up to 5 days per week.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs, with occasional twisting, turning, or bending to move items up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to read/see precision measurements down to 1/16 of an inch.
• Maintaining an alert state of mind at all times to adhere to safety standards and avoid hazards.
