The Loan Servicing Specialist will be responsible for processing basic and highly complex loan transactions associated with various loan types such as Mortgage, Consumer, Business, SBA, National Floor Plans and Participations. They will also complete department specific tasks and identify account information for accuracy to ensure the bank does not incur financial losses due to the incomplete or inaccurate information. This requires coordination of data and information among various operational areas.
What You’ll Do:
- Understand and comply with Bank policy, laws, regulations, and the Bank's BSA/AML Program.
- Serve as a resource to the frontline staff for loan servicing questions.
- Ensure accuracy of the loan terms and conditions reflected within the Bank’s core operating system and related systems.
- Ensure accurate and timely posting of all loan account transactions.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts affected by servicing related loan transaction activity.
- Provide accurate and timely payoff quotes and paid loan processing.
- Process accurate and timely account verifications and responses to customer inquiries.
- Responsible for monitoring escrow transactions related to construction builds and collateral damaged insurance claims and effectively facilitating the disbursements.
- Communicate with third-party vendors to maintain accuracy with vendor and build strong relationships.
- Maintain records for Force Placed Hazard Insurance in conjunction with third-party vendor.
- Maintenance of an effective and efficient escrow accounting process including, but not limited to, annual and short-year analysis, escrow interest applications, escrow deposits and escrow disbursements.
- Complete paid loan recorded satisfactions, lien releases, and UCC filings and contributions.
What It Takes:
- 2 years professional experience required.
- Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school or equivalent 2-4 years of industry training or experience related to mortgage lending, processing, and compliance.
- Data entry and typing experience required.
- Familiarity and utilization of digital banking services/banking systems required (eg., Jack Henry Suite, DocuSign, and OnBase).
