Senior IT Systems Specialist (Talent Pool)

The focus of the Senior IT Systems Specialist is to apply knowledge toward guiding, coaching, and mentoring junior IT support engineers through planning and coordinating activities related to the implementation and integration of IT solutions.

• Monitor internal compliance with policies, procedures, and standards, by conducting testing, internal control reviews, risk assessments, etc.
  
• Manage Help Desk support and completion of tickets by IT Systems Engineers; as well as ensuring customer follow-up by coordinating prompt responses to issues/outages, incidents, and service escalations; monitor critical local issues through to resolution; communicate action and progress updates to customers
  
• Provide guidance, full advisory support, coach and mentor junior support engineers on goal setting and time management
  
• Assist junior support engineers in customization of customer demos and training requirements based on customer needs
  
• Conduct meetings with IT Team to delegate, assign tasks and report on project status
  
• Conduct project assessment and lessons learned and create a recommendations report to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements
  
• Review audit results with the various IT functions providing observations, recommendations, and conclusions
  
• Work with manager to implement clear IT project management techniques and processes
  
• Coach and guide junior systems engineers on proper customer service interactions and communication (written/oral)
