Qualifications
To be considered for this position, you must have:
- A Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree in nurse anesthesia from an accredited program
- Current certification as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) by the National Board of Certification and Recertification of Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA)
- An active state license as an advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) and in good standing with the medical board
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
Responsibilities
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Conducting pre-operative assessments and developing anesthesia plans
- Obtaining informed consent from patients
- Administering general or local anesthesia, sedatives, and pain management medication as per physician's orders
- Monitoring patients' vital signs and adjusting anesthesia levels during surgery to ensure patient safety and comfort
- Collaborating with surgical teams, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures
- Maintaining accurate and confidential records of anesthesia administration and adhering to hospital protocols and guidelines
