Duties
- Prepare and review individual and business tax returns using Drake tax preparation software..
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws by staying current on tax regulations and reporting requirements.
- Gather and analyze financial documents including W-2s, 1099s, receipts, bank statements, and other relevant records to accurately complete tax filings.
- Communicate effectively with clients to gather necessary information, clarify questions, and explain tax strategies or obligations.
- Identify potential deductions, credits, and strategies to optimize client refunds or minimize liabilities while maintaining strict adherence to tax laws.
- Assist clients with tax planning advice related to individual and small business taxes.
- Maintain organized records of all prepared returns, supporting documents, and correspondence for audit readiness.
Requirements
- Experience in tax preparation preferred but not required.
- Proficient computer skills
- Excellent opportunity for Annual Filing Season Participant , Enrolled Agent, Accountant or Inactive CPA
- Outstanding customer service skills and communication skills.
