Inclusive Living Solutions is seeking compassionate individuals, couples, or families to open their home and support adults with intellectual or developmental disabilities.


Annual Compensation: $52,800 – $102,000 per year


Compensation is based on individual tier, level of care, and placement.

Preferred Candidates:


• Homeowners

• Experience supporting individuals with behavioral or developmental needs

• Residential caregiving or healthcare experience

Minimum Requirements:

• Age 21

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

• Ability to pass background and Central Registry checks for all adults in the home

• Certificate of Occupancy (CO) for home. Inclusive Living Solutions can assist with obtaining this document.

• Access to approximately 90 days of personal living expenses (verification required early in the process via bank statements and credit card available balances)

Housing & Occupancy Requirements:

• Renters must have verbal approval from their landlord to sublease a room, with written and signed approval required later in the process

• Homeowners must be able to obtain a Certificate of Occupancy (CO) for the home. Homes older than 1973 may require a city inspection and issuance of a CO.

Example of Financial Requirement:


If your monthly living expenses are approximately $4,000 per month, you must show access to $12,000 in available funds. Monthly expenses may include rent/mortgage, utilities, car payments, insurance, food, childcare, and other regular household expenses. Access can be shown by bank statements, credit card available balance, loans.

Training Requirements:


• 24 hours of required synchronized unpaid training before placement. Synchronize means live virtual or live in person sessions.

• Training is held in Hampton, VA and partially online

• Additional certifications may be required, including CPR/First Aid and Medication Administration, If you do not have these certifications, or if they are expired, the company can obtain them for you.

Responsibilities Include:

• Providing a safe and supportive home environment

• Assisting with daily living skills, routines, medications, and community activities

• Completing electronic documentation

• Working with nurses, behavioral professionals, and support staff

Important:

• Maximum of 2 individuals receiving services per home

AI screening questions must be completed for your application to be reviewed (This should come following your application)

We offer weekends, mornings, and evening trainings. We can break the sessions into 3-8hr sessions. only 8hrs in person required the rest is virtual synchronized and unsynchronized training.

Before Applying Please Confirm You Meet These Requirements:

This position requires several non negotiable requirements. Please do not apply unless you can confirm the following:

  • You can attend 24 hours of required synchronized training (unpaid). Some held in Hampton, Virginia and majority online.
  • Your home can obtain a Certificate of Occupancy from the city.
  • If you rent, your landlord allows you to sublease a room and receive rent from the individual living with you
  • All adults living in the home can pass a background check and Central Registry screening. Background checks are $60 and will be refunded once you receive your first check from hosting an Inclusive Living Solutions individual.
  • You have approximately 90 days of personal living expenses available

Applicants who cannot meet these requirements will not be able to complete the approval process.

Application Question(s):

  • Can you and your backup sponsor pass a criminal background check and central registry search?
  • If you are renting. Has your landlord given you verbal approval to rent a room in your rented home, have a separate lease with the individual, and receive rent payments from them? Written approval is a requirement to complete the hiring process.
  • Do you have, or will you have 90 days (3 months worth of all bills combined) available in the next month and can you provide proof (bank statement, credit card available balance, combination of both, etc. ? (For EXAMPLE if all of your bills per month total $6,000 you are expected to have $18,000 accessible before an individual is placed). Statements older that 30 days not allowed.
