Start and End Dates: 08/20/26 - 06/11/27

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:15am-2pm. Minimum of 5.5 billable hours/day, 26.25 billable hours/week
Pay: $21.00-$22.00/hour, paid weekly

About the Role:

Join the Inclusive Learning Partners team! As a certified Nonpublic Agency (NPA) in California, we are dedicated to providing inclusive, compassionate, and high-quality educational support across the state. We are currently hiring Para educators that will be working 1:1 with K-12 students with severe disabilities to provide essential support to the classroom teacher and assists in the implementation of educational programs. This role involves working closely with students who have significant physical, cognitive, and emotional disabilities, ensuring they receive the appropriate care, instruction, and support to achieve their individual educational goals. This role involves taking case notes for their student to provide to teacher and school site staff for data tracking.

Candidates must be open to working with students with severe needs, open to students who display aggression, must be open to toileting and diapering. Candidates must be able to run after and catch students who elope. The school is looking for enthusiastic, passionate, patient, empathetic people with a strong desire to help. They need to express confidence and lack of fear in the types of behaviors they will encounter.

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree or higher in education or related field preferred
• Minimum 6 months of experience supporting individuals with severe disabilities (e.g., as a Paraprofessional, Behavioral Technician, ABA Therapist, etc.)
• Familiarity with behavior support strategies, special education practices, and personal care needs
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills
• Compassion, patience, and a strong commitment to student success
• Ability to lift and assist students with physical needs as necessary
• Must be comfortable assisting with toileting and diapering for students of any age
• Bilingual (English/ Spanish) is highly preferred, not required
• Basic ASL Knowledge is highly preferred, not required
• Must be willing to undergo a criminal background clearance and Livescan fingerprinting through the California Department of Justice and FBI.
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
• Willingness to complete all necessary ILP and state mandated trainings during onboarding

Key Responsibilities:

Instructional Support

• Support delivery of individualized instruction based on teacher-developed plans
• Assist students in developing academic, social, and life skills
• Utilize varied instructional techniques as directed by the teacher

Behavioral Support

• Follow individualized behavior intervention plans under the guidance of a BCBA
• Provide 1:1 or small group support
• Document behavior trends and student responses

Personal Care and Health Support

• Assist with daily living needs such as toileting, grooming, and feeding
• Provide physical assistance and supervision to ensure student safety
• Carry out medical procedures or administer medication when trained and authorized

Classroom Management

• Help maintain a clean, organized, and supportive learning environment
• Set up materials and equipment for daily use
• Collaborate with teachers, specialists, and school staff to support students

Record Keeping

• Maintain confidentiality and accuracy in tracking attendance, behaviors, and progress
• Prepare instructional and support materials as needed
