Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team. The RBT will work under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to implement individualized treatment plans for clients with behavioral health needs. This role is essential in providing support and education to clients and their families, helping them achieve their goals and improve their quality of life.
Client Profile
- (7 years old)
- Requires part-time 1:1 support (20 hours/week)
- Low acuity behavioral presentation
- Attention and focus
- Emotional regulation
- Following routines and expectations
- Social and communication skills
- Minimal challenging behaviors
- No history of severe aggression or self-injurious behavior
- Calm environment with predictable routines
Support Needs
- 1:1 support during scheduled sessions
- Implementation of structured ABA programs
- Use of positive reinforcement and redirection
- Focus on proactive strategies and skill acquisition
- Consistent data collection and session documentation
- Collaboration with BCBA to follow treatment goals
Family Involvement
- The family is highly involved, present during sessions, and willing to participate
- Caregivers assist with multi-person safety procedures when needed
- Team-based approach is essential and will be supported by caregivers and supervising staff
Ideal Staff Requirements
- Active RBT certification
- Patient, calm, and engaging demeanor
- Comfortable working with children in a structured setting
- Strong communication and professionalism
- Ability to follow behavior plans and collect accurate data
- Experience with ABA preferred, but newer RBTs are welcome with proper training
Training Provided
- Ongoing BCBA supervision and support
- Training in behavior management and skill acquisition programs
