The Benefits Practice Leader / Senior Account Executive will help build and lead the next phase of the benefits practice for the firm. This is an opportunity for an entrepreneurial benefits professional who wants more than a traditional service role. The right candidate will play a key role in growing the department, developing a strong benefits team, supporting new business opportunities, and shaping the long-term success of the practice.
You will work closely with agency leadership and our sales team to expand our benefits offering while managing a portfolio of existing clients. This position offers the rare opportunity to lead a benefits service team while also developing and producing your own book of business, allowing you to directly benefit from the growth you help create.

Key Responsibilities
- Support the agency’s sales team in the pursuit of new group benefits opportunities
- Manage and service a portfolio of employee benefit clients with a focus on long-term relationships and retention
- Help lead and grow the agency’s benefits practice
- Manage, mentor, and develop the benefits service support team
- Oversee the day-to-day servicing of benefit accounts and ensure exceptional client experience
- Maintain accurate documentation and communications within the agency management system
- Ensure client data and documentation are maintained to support compliance and reporting requirements
- Collaborate with agency leadership on strategies to expand and strengthen the benefits department
- Minimum 5 years of experience administering group employee benefit plans
- Life & Health Insurance License required
- Experience working with agency management systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
- Strong interpersonal, leadership, and client relationship skills
- A collaborative mindset with an interest in helping build and grow a department
