Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Scrum Master to support Agile delivery across complex, multi-team environments within the Financial Services domain. This role will focus on enabling high-performing teams, driving SAFe practices, managing dependencies, and ensuring successful execution of product and technology initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide Scrum Master support for 1–3 Agile teams operating in high-complexity, dependency-heavy environments
- Facilitate all Agile and SAFe ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, retrospectives, and Program Increment (PI) Planning
- Lead PI Planning sessions and support teams in successfully delivering PI objectives
- Partner with Product Owners and stakeholders to support backlog prioritization and solution refinement aligned to business goals
- Proactively identify and manage risks, issues, and impediments, including defining impact, ownership, mitigation plans, and resolution timelines
- Manage and coordinate cross-team dependencies, ensuring alignment and minimizing delivery risks across multiple Agile teams
- Facilitate executive stakeholder readouts, providing clear updates, insights, and delivery transparency
- Drive continuous improvement through retrospectives and Agile coaching, fostering a culture of adaptability and learning
- Oversee Scrum and Kanban workflows, optimizing team processes and delivery efficiency
- Ensure adherence to Change and Release management standards
- Coordinate and prioritize resolution of production defects, incidents, and problem records to minimize business impact
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience
- 10 years of experience working in large-scale, multi-team enterprise Agile environments
- 7-8 years of experience as a Scrum Master, preferably at a senior level
- Strong expertise in Scrum and Kanban frameworks, with working knowledge of SAFe principles
- Proven experience managing risks, issues, and cross-team dependencies in complex environments
- Experience facilitating PI Planning and presenting to executive stakeholders
- Background in Financial Services, Banking, Wealth Management, or Asset Management
- Exceptional communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and build collaborative relationships
Required Certifications & Tools
- SAFe Scrum Master certification or equivalent Agile certification (CSM, PSM, etc.)
- Experience with Agile tools such as Jira, Rally, or similar platforms
