Job Title: Data Quality Engineer (Data QE)

Job Summary
We’re looking for a Data Quality Engineer with strong analytical and testing skills to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of enterprise data platforms. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with data validation, ETL testing, data warehouse testing, and automation in large-scale data environments.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute test strategies for data pipelines, ETL processes, and data warehouse solutions.
- Validate data accuracy, transformation logic, and business rules across multiple data sources.
- Perform data reconciliation and quality checks between source and target systems.
- Create automated test scripts and frameworks for data validation and regression testing.
- Work closely with Data Engineers, Analysts, and Product Owners to define quality standards and resolve data issues.
- Document test cases, test results, and provide data quality metrics and reports.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of data testing processes and automation frameworks.
Required Skills
- 10 years of experience in data testing or data quality engineering.
- Strong expertise in SQL for data validation and reconciliation.
- Experience testing ETL workflows using tools like Informatica, Talend, AWS Glue, or similar.
- Hands-on experience with Big Data platforms (Hadoop, Spark, Databricks) is preferred.
- Knowledge of Python or PySpark for test automation.
- Familiarity with data visualization or BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.) is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a cloud data environment (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Understanding of data governance, data lineage, and data quality frameworks.
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and testing automation tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI).
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
