Role Description This is a full-time hybrid Interior Designer role based in Orlando, FL, with a mix of in-office site work and some work from home. The Interior Designer will develop design concepts, mood boards, and presentations that align with client goals, brand standards, and budget. Responsibilities include space planning, selecting FF&E (furniture, fixtures, and equipment), preparing construction drawings, and coordinating with architects, contractors, and vendors. The role involves conducting site visits and measurements, reviewing finishes and material samples, and ensuring designs are executed accurately during construction and installation. The Interior Designer will also prepare project documentation, maintain project timelines, and communicate design progress and decisions with internal teams and clients.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Interior Design and FF&E selection, including finishes, furniture, lighting, and material palettes.
- Strong Space Planning skills to optimize layouts for functionality, circulation, and code compliance.
- Experience with Architecture and Construction Drawings, including reading, coordinating, and producing design documentation.
- Ability to collaborate with project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, vendors, and multidisciplinary design teams.
- Proficiency in relevant design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or similar), plus MS Office or Google Workspace.
- Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong visual communication skills, including presentation boards, sketches, and digital presentations.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a hybrid work environment.
- Knowledge of building codes, accessibility guidelines, and industry standards is preferred; professional certifications or progress toward NCIDQ are a plus.
