Inca Production: Boiler Operator
Inca Presswood Pallets is North America’s leading manufacturer of Engineered Molded WoodTM pallets, core plugs, and other specialty molded wood products.
We are looking for the best production workers interested in learning how to operate state-of-the-art automated equipment in our Sardis, Mississippi manufacturing facility.
The ideal candidate will enjoy producing high quality, consistent work based on established guidelines and procedures. Through this position, you will become a valued technical expert, recognized, and supported by plant leaders.
Title: Boiler Operator
Reports to: Shift Supervisor
Hours of Work: Various
Method of Pay: Hourly rate with a weekly frequency (direct deposit)

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
- Blowdown Hammermill, inside and out each shift.
- Inspect Hammermill blades and screens each shift.
- Load walking floor from mix pile. (Build mix pile)
- Check silo levels at beginning of shift and periodically during shift.
- Maintain proper moisture of wood chips leaving dryer.
- Maintain proper feed rate of dryer so Dry Silo won't run low.
- Maintain proper boiler water temperature.
- Startup and Shutdown all systems (Dryer, Boiler, Hammermill, Walking Floor)
- Clean up of designated area of plant.
- Dryer trunnion lubrication.
- Chip bunker walking floor lubrication.
- Assist in production operations as required by the Production Supervisor.
- Boiler blow-out.
- Boiler ash-can empty, day shift boilerman.
- Dryer multiclone ash can empty, 1 or 2 times per shift.
- Boiler and Dryer burner cleanouts.
- Monitoring of system data on Boiler Log Sheet.
- Any tasks required by the Production Supervisor to accomplish shift goals.
Everything you do supports the following goals:
- Maintain proper wood flake size.
- Maintain proper wood flake moisture.
- Maintain hot water for pallet presses.
Requirements:
- Must be able perform the physical activities necessary in an active work environment such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping and handling materials.
- Lift 2-40 lbs. with some positions requiring capability of lifting 50 lbs.
- Able to stand in a fast-paced environment with typical 8-hour shifts and occasional overtime as needed.
- Ability to work any shift and/or shift pattern, including limited weekends.
- Willing to learn from well-trained coaches with your safety & development, their number one priority.
- Be a part of a high producing team that investigates and solves problems with the help of their mentors and coaches.
- Ability to understand both verbal and written directions
- Adhere to strict safety, quality and production standards
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to score silver or higher on the Work Keys Assessment
