Title: Quality Engineer Analyst
Location: Shawnee/Kansas City 66227 (Onsite)
Duration: Full-Time
Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m
Reports To: Quality Manager (she is based out of Dallas/Ft. Worth)
Bonus: There is an annual bonus, broken out and paid quarterly due to 4 bonus metrics.
Client Industry: Manufacturer & distributor of metals, elastomers, bearings, gaskets
Additional Notes:
Need to understand QMS process and corrective action analysis
Experience in the industry, such as sealing, bearings, plastics and materials for various manufactured parts, would be beneficial.
Team size will total 12 once all openings in this group are filled combined for all locations.
Must be able to read blueprints and understand them.
Need an extrovert, self-starter, and someone who is aggressive.
Must be someone eager to learn, obtain certifications, and pursue continued education.
Qualifications
Degree preferred, or equivalent Quality Assurance/Quality Control experience in a related field.
3-5 years of experience in quality engineering within the manufacturing industry.
Strong understanding of Quality Management Systems (QMS) and industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100, AS9120 or ISO13485 is also acceptable).
Familiarity with process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
Proficiency in statistical analysis and quality control tools.
Skills and Abilities
Ability to analyze complex data and identify trends, root causes, and solutions to quality issues.
Strong problem-solving skills, capable of developing effective corrective and preventive actions.
Keen attention to detail to ensure all quality standards and requirements are met consistently.

Summary of the Role
Our client (manufacturer & distributor of metals, elastomers, bearings, gaskets) is seeking a highly skilled and process-driven Quality Engineer Analyst with significant experience in the manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Quality Control and Quality Assurance and a passion for ensuring that all products meet the highest standards of quality and reliability.
This role involves developing, implementing, and maintaining quality assurance processes, as well as collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
The position will provide supervisor leadership to the on- site Quality department.
Essential Duties
Perform inspection duties, but not limited to analyzing data metrics to further implement and maintain processes improvement initiatives for the effectiveness of the Quality Management Systems (QMS), to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Conduct routine audits to assess areas for improvement and ensure adherence to established procedures.
Manage documentation and records related to quality assurance activities, including process maps, procedures, and work instructions.
Analyze manufacturing processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
Lead process improvement initiatives using methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Root Cause Analysis.
Implement corrective and preventive actions to address quality issues and enhance overall process performance.
Develop and execute quality assurance protocols and inspection plans to ensure product quality and consistency.
Perform inspections and tests on in-process products, and finished goods to verify compliance with specifications.
Utilize statistical tools and techniques, select appropriate AQL Sampling methodology to monitor and control process variability and ensure product quality.
Work closely with engineering, production, and supply chain teams to ensure quality requirements are met throughout the product lifecycle.
Support the development and implementation of new manufacturing processes and products, ensuring quality considerations are integrated from the start.
Communicate effectively with suppliers and customers to resolve quality issues and ensure their requirements are understood and met.
Provide training and support to employees on quality assurance processes, QMS procedures, and best practices.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement and quality awareness throughout the organization.
Perform AS9102 First Article Inspections
Assist in management of Safety records and requirements specific to the building. Foster safety based mentality and accountability.
