Job Title:Prototype Technician Location: Redmond,WA Duration: ContractJob Summary:We are seeking a skilled Prototype Technician with hands-on experience in mechanical assembly, CAD tools, and CNC machining. The ideal candidate will support engineering and manufacturing teams by interpreting technical drawings, fabricating components, and ensuring high-quality production through CNC operations. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Key Responsibilities:Perform mechanical assembly, testing, and troubleshooting of components and systems.Operate CNC machines (milling, turning, etc.) to fabricate mechanical parts according to specifications.Use CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or equivalent) to read, interpret, and update technical drawings and models.Set up, adjust, and maintain CNC equipment, including tool selection and offsets.Inspect and verify parts using measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to ensure accuracy to tolerances.Assist engineers in prototyping and fabrication for R&D and production needs.Maintain accurate documentation of machining parameters, part records, and design updates.Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized workspace.Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, quality, and manufacturing.
