What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mobile Phlebotomist (CPT) position at In The Vein Mobile Clinical Services, LLC?
Bring your venipuncture skills to the field. As our Mobile Phlebotomist, you'll be the face of In The Vein at assigned Bay Area clinics — performing draws, building clinic relationships, and keeping specimens moving safely to the lab. Newly certified? We built this role for you: structured, hands-on training and mentorship from day one, because growing new talent in this field is part of why In The Vein exists.
What you'll do
- Perform venipuncture and capillary draws per clinic orders
- Collect, label, and transport specimens with full chain of custody
- Serve as the primary contact for your assigned clinic
- Follow HIPAA and OSHA bloodborne pathogen protocols
What you'll need
- Active CDPH-approved Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT I or II) certification
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Valid CA driver's license, reliable vehicle, and insurance
Who thrives here
- You actually listen to patients — a draw can be the most nerve-wracking part of someone's visit, and you treat it that way
- You take ownership of your clinics like they're your own accounts, not just a shift to get through
- You're coachable and hungry to grow, whether you're brand new to the field or building toward something bigger in healthcare
- You show up reliable and professional — we're a small, close team right now, and every person represents the brand
- You care about the East Bay community you're serving, not just the paycheck
Growth and training
- No prior work experience required. We provide hands-on field training and ongoing mentorship, and we're building out a structured career path for phlebotomists who want to grow with us as In The Vein expands.
