We’re looking for a Workforce Development & Volunteer Coordinator who is passionate about people and energized by helping others grow. What You’ll Do
Lead Our Job Preparedness Program
You’ll work directly with individuals who are ready to take steps toward employment—helping them build confidence, develop workplace skills, and move toward meaningful opportunities.
- Facilitate job readiness training (communication, professionalism, job search skills)
- Coach and encourage participants as they grow and gain confidence
- Track progress and celebrate milestones along the way
- Build relationships with local employers and community partners
Create a Meaningful Volunteer Experience
Volunteers are at the heart of our work—you’ll ensure they feel welcomed, equipped, and connected.
- Recruit, onboard, and train volunteers
- Match individuals to roles where they can thrive
- Build relationships that keep volunteers engaged long-term
- Communicate regularly and lead appreciation efforts
Keep Things Running Smoothly
- Maintain accurate records and data across programs
- Help improve systems, processes, and participant experience
- Support storytelling and reporting that highlights impact

What You Bring
Education
- Associate’s degree or equivalent experience required
- Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, social work, human services, or related field preferred
Experience
- 2 years of experience in workforce development, volunteer management, or nonprofit programming
- Experience working with diverse populations and/or individuals facing barriers to employment preferred
Skills & Abilities
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
- Ability to coach, motivate, and support individuals from diverse backgrounds
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database systems
- Experience with volunteer or program management software preferred
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
