Job Description
We are seeking an IT Support Technician in the Dallas, TX area for a hybrid role that combines field service with help desk support. This position will dispatch for IP Office and ITC Cloud phone system tickets across DFW and East Texas while providing tier 1–2 help desk support when not onsite. The technician will also assist the project department with field requests as needed.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, can work independently in the field, and provides dependable client-facing and remote support
Key Responsibilities
- Provide onsite support for Avaya IP Office systems, ITC Cloud phone systems, and client networking/endpoints across DFW and East Texas
- Perform site visits for installs, cutovers, troubleshooting, and service requests
- Work remote help desk tickets, including: Voice tickets (IP Office, ITC Cloud, hosted platforms), Tier 1–2 desktop support (Windows, O365, applications, printers, etc.), General client issues as assigned
- Assist the project department with field requests as needed
- Document all work and resolve issues efficiently in ConnectWise Manage
- Communicate effectively with clients and deliver professional support experiences
- Ensure accurate time entry, ticket notes, and follow-up action
Qualifications:
- 2 years of IT or telecom support experience (MSP/VoIP background preferred)
- Familiarity with Avaya IP Office and hosted/cloud phone systems (NetSapiens & 8x8 experience a plus)
- Basic troubleshooting skills across Windows OS, Office 365, networking, and endpoints
- Strong client service and communication skills
- Ability to travel throughout DFW and East Texas (company vehicle provided)
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
Preferred Certifications (nice to have):
- CompTIA A , Network
- Microsoft 365 Fundamentals (MS-900) or MD-102/MS-102
- Avaya IP Office ACIS/ACSS
- SIP/VoIP certifications (e.g., SIP School SSCA)
- NetSapiens or 8x8 platform training
