Trauma-informed, animal-assisted therapy provided on a private farm in Chesterland. We serve adolescents, teens and adults looking for a safe place to rebalance their mental health through a connection with animals and nature.
Role Description
The Executive Director is the Chief Executive Officer of In Step With Horses, Inc. The Executive Director reports to the Board of Directors and is responsible for the organization's consistent achievement of its mission and financial objectives.
This is a part-time, 20 hours per week role. The Executive Director will oversee operations of the organization. Positions that report to to the ED include our Clinical Director, Development Director, Farm Manager and Marketing Coordinator. This key position helps to ensure that we achieve organizational goals while delivering the best service to our clients. This position is located in Chesterland, OH, with some flexibility for remote work.
Qualifications
· A minimum of bachelor’s degree in area of nonprofit management, business administration, farm/facility management or similar degree. Masters degree a plus.
· 5 years of senior management experience of a nonprofit or for-profit organization
· Experience in creating and managing within budgets
· Strong network in NE Ohio region
· Strong fundraising experience
· Experience in direct personnel management of 5 - 10 or more employees
· Entrepreneurial mindset, with innovative approach to business planning
- Dynamic and charismatic team player who enjoys being the public face of the organization
- Experience with equine-assisted services is a definite plus
Salary: $40,000/year, 20 hours per week
