Job Summary
Medical assistant for patient care for Podiatry / Foot and Ankle Surgery
English speaking a must and Spanish speaking is helpful.
EXPERIENCE a plus
MUST KNOW
- Patient intake and history documentation
- Autoclave operation and medical instruments
- HIPAA rules
- Communication with patients, doctors, staff, insurance companies and surgical
facilities.
- Electronic medical record entries
- Filling of medical charts, faxing medical records
- Inventory control- stock items and durable medical equipment
- Preparation and cleaning of treatment and patient care areas
Qualified individuals must have following skills for a Smoke and drug free
environment:
1 - Computer skills, strong organizational and teamwork skills
2 - Ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
3 - Ability to work well in a patient service oriented environment.
