What are the responsibilities and job description for the Kitchen Staff position at In & Out Cafe?
We are looking for a skilled kitchen staff member to join our existing team. In this role, you will help our restaurant operate as efficiently and effectively as possible. This will require adaptability and willingness to do a little bit of everything that our kitchen needs to do its best work.
Duties include....
- Assisting with food preparation & production
- Grill cook/ Fry experience preferred
- Kitchen cleaning & dish washing
- Additional tasks as assigned
We are seeking someone adaptable, hard-working, and willing to take direction. You should also be comfortable working in a fast-paced restaurant setting and be able to multitask effectively.
Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize dishes, cookware, and utensils
- Clean and sanitize food preparation work stations
- Assist in the food preparation process by cutting, chopping, slicing, and washing vegetables, meats and other ingredients
- Follow all food health and safety requirements
- Assist with the unloading of deliveries and their proper storage
- Communicate kitchen needs to supervisors
- Interact with customers, as needed
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Previous experience in a restaurant preferred
- Physical ability to stand for long periods of time and ability to lift 50 pounds
- Willingness to work some Saturdays- We are CLOSED Sundays & Mondays!
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Existing knowledge of food safety procedures preferred
Tuesday - Saturday *Hours will vary

Pay will be evaluated based on experience
