Residential Housekeeper with room and board

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented live in home Housekeeper to join our family. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in various settings, including a house located in Merced CA and El Dorado Hills CA . This role requires a strong commitment and also entails cooking at both locations. Four days a week will be spent in the Merced CA, and 3 days in El Dorado Hills, you would be required to travel with me. The compensation includes room and board plus stipend.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize all rooms, bathrooms, and common areas in both locations.
• Perform laundry duties, including washing, drying, folding, drop off and pick up dry cleaning, and ironing linens and towels.
• Conduct floor care tasks such as vacuuming, mopping, and carpet cleaning to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
• Manage housekeeping supplies and report any maintenance issues or safety hazards.
• Purchase groceries and cook meals for one person and occasionally for guests.
• Ensure all cleaning equipment is used safely and maintained in good condition.

Requirements

• Proven experience in housekeeping or custodial services is preferred.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, products, and equipment.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Friendly demeanor.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within others.
• Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks for extended periods, including lifting up to 25 pounds.
• Familiarity with housekeeping management practices is a plus.
