Duties
- Assist clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to enhance their comfort and independence.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being and reduce feelings of loneliness.
- Administer medication reminders and ensure adherence to prescribed care plans under supervision.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks including laundry, meal preparation, and maintaining a safe living environment.
- Monitor clients’ health status, report changes or concerns promptly to healthcare professionals or family members.
- Support clients with mobility aids and assistive devices to prevent falls and injuries.
- Document care activities accurately and maintain detailed records of client progress and incidents.
Requirements
- Previous experience in home care or related fields is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Demonstrated compassion, patience, and excellent communication skills essential for building trusting relationships with clients.
- Ability to follow detailed care plans and adhere to safety protocols consistently.
- Flexibility to work various shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends, or overnight as needed.
- Knowledge of basic health monitoring techniques and medication management is advantageous.
- Experience with diverse populations including Geriatrics or individuals requiring post-acute or sub-acute care is highly valued.
- Certification in CPR or first aid is a plus but not required; training available upon hire.
