Job Title: Home Health Attendant

**Overview:**

A Home Health Attendant plays a crucial role in providing personalized care and assistance to individuals who require support in their homes due to age, illness, or disability. This position involves helping clients with their daily activities, ensuring their well-being, and contributing to an environment that promotes independence and dignity.

**Responsibilities:**

1. **Personal Care:**

- Assist clients with personal hygiene tasks, such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.

- Support clients with mobility and transfers, ensuring safety and comfort.

2. **Medication Management:**

- Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals.

- Keep accurate records of medication schedules and any observed side effects.

3. **Meal Preparation:**

- Plan and prepare nutritious meals based on clients' dietary needs and preferences.

- Ensure that clients are well-hydrated and receive proper nutrition.

4. **Household Assistance:**

- Perform light housekeeping tasks, including cleaning, laundry, and organizing.

- Help clients maintain a clean and safe living environment.

5. **Companionship:**

- Provide emotional support and companionship to clients.

- Engage in activities that promote mental stimulation and social interaction.

6. **Health Monitoring:**

- Monitor clients' health status and report any changes to healthcare professionals or family members.

- Take vital signs and record relevant health information.

7. **Transportation:**

- Assist clients with transportation to medical appointments, grocery shopping, and other errands.

- Ensure the safety of clients during transit.

8. **Communication:**

- Maintain open communication with healthcare professionals, family members, and other members of the caregiving team.

- Report any concerns or incidents promptly.

9. **Documentation:**

- Keep accurate and up-to-date records of care provided.

- Complete necessary documentation for billing and reporting purposes.

10. **Emergency Response:**

- Be prepared to respond to emergency situations calmly and efficiently.

- Follow established procedures and protocols for emergencies.

**Qualifications:**

- High school diploma or equivalent.

- Certification or training in home health care, nursing assistance, or a related field is preferred.

- Experience in caregiving or a related field is advantageous.

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

- Compassionate and patient demeanor.

- Ability to adapt to different client needs and situations.

- Reliable and punctual.

**Working Conditions:**

- Flexible working hours, including evenings and weekends.

- Work primarily takes place in clients' homes.

- May involve lifting or assisting clients with mobility challenges.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $11.00 - $14.00 per hour
