Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated In Home Caregiver to provide exceptional support and assistance to individuals in their own homes. Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene.
- Support with medication administration and monitor vital signs to ensure health stability.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as needed, respecting dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Conduct patient observation to identify changes in condition or behavior, reporting findings accurately.
- Help with mobility and transfers using proper techniques such as Hoyer lifts or patient transfer methods to ensure safety.
- Maintain detailed care plans, documenting all care activities, observations, and client responses in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Provide companionship and emotional support, fostering a positive environment for clients with dementia, Alzheimer’s, or other cognitive impairments.
Skills
- Proven experience working with individuals with disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders, or in senior care settings such as assisted living or nursing homes.
- Strong knowledge of patient monitoring, medication administration, first aid, CPR, and manual handling techniques.
- Familiarity with specialized care such as Alzheimer’s care, memory care, hospice care, and dementia support.
- Ability to perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning and maintaining a safe environment for clients.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Experience working with residents’
(personal needs) in various home health or community care environments. - Ability to handle heavy lifting safely and assist with patient transfers using appropriate equipment like Hoyer lifts or patient transfer methods.
