Annual Salary Range: $84,000 - $140,000
In-Depth Engineering Corporation seeks Systems Hardware Engineers to support our rapidly growing engineering work on Ground Missile Defense (GMD) Weapons Systems. The GMD Weapon System (GWS) processes data from multiple sensors to identify and characterize the inbound ballistic missile threat, plans the best defensive solution, and launches the intercepting missiles to negate the threat.
The work is performed on-site at our customer site in Huntsville, AL. Work schedule - Flex 4/10 Schedule or Flex 9/80 w/every other Friday off - or a straight 5/8.
Qualified candidates must have an active DoD Secret Level Security Clearance.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline
- Minimum 5 years of experience
- Must be a US citizen
- Must have an active DoD secret clearance
- Strong prior experience with use of MSOSA (Cameo) and DOORS.
- Applicants must demonstrate a strong hardware and software technical background in architecture development, functional decomposition, requirements development and allocation, and interface definition with system modeling tools.
- Applicants must have a strong background in MBSE (Model Based Systems Engineering) and the use of SysML to describe behaviors of a complex DoD system.
- Capable of working both independently within a small team environment, and leading a small group.
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% of the time to support business needs.
Desired Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in functional decomposition, requirements development and allocation of Cyber and Safety requirements.
- Demonstrated experience modeling or simulating missile defense applications or similar domains (launch support systems, flight test equipment, intercept of ballistic targets, intercept of non-ballistic targets, etc.).
- Modeling and analysis experience in aspects of the missile defense system (e.g., Aegis Weapons Systems, Ground-based Midcourse Defense (GMD), Glide Phase Intercept (GPI), Hypersonic and Ballistic Tracking Space Sensor (HBTSS), Fire Control, C2BMC, MDS sensors (EO/IR/RF), kill vehicles, interceptors, countermeasures, etc.).
- Systems engineering experience with large, complex systems.
