Job Location: Hudson NH, 03051 Job DescriptionThe Field Calibration Technician will provide immediate support for electronic, mechanical and process calibration services in accordance with established procedures and standards.This position will typically operate independently, applying job skills and company policies and procedures to complete a wide range of difficult tasks. This includes assignments that are moderately complex in nature where good judgment is required in resolving problems and making routine recommendations. The Field Calibration Technician will abide by good housekeeping practices and will perform some administrative duties.The ideal applicant will be self-motivated, highly organized, possess a strong commitment to customer service and excel in a team-orientated environment. Calibrations will primarily be performed at our customer facilities (some overnight travel is required) with some work in our own environmentally controlled labs (Hudson, NH). Pay, Hours & Overtime$28–$38/hourTypical weekly hours average 42–50 hours, based on customer schedules and workloadOvertime paid at 1.5x for eligible hoursDrive time is paid at your regular hourly rateTravel & Driving DetailsMost work is local: ~80% of jobs are within a 2-hour radius of Hudson, NHOvernight travel: up to ~20% of jobs may require overnight staysTechnicians use their own vehicle for field workMileage reimbursement providedPer diem provided for eligible travel/overnights ResponsibilitiesCalibration & MeasurementCalibrate IM&TE in one or more disciplines such as: Dimensional, Mechanical, DC/Low Frequency, RF/Microwave, Thermodynamics, Time & Frequency, Fluid, Optical, Chemical, Acoustical, and/or ProcessEnsure equipment performance meets published specs and internal proceduresIdentify and resolve out-of-tolerance conditions through adjustments, correction factors, component replacement, or other corrective actionsTroubleshooting & Equipment SupportPerform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of precision equipmentIdentify and correct measurement errors when they occurDocumentation & QualityCollect, compile, and record calibration data accuratelyPrepare calibration reports and certificatesApply working knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025:2017, uncertainty, and TUR/TAR conceptsCustomer & Team CollaborationWork directly with customers at their sites with a professional, service-minded approachPartner with technicians, customer service, and vendors to keep work flowing smoothlyProvide feedback to improve processes and procedures over timeGeneral ExpectationsFollow good housekeeping and careful handling practices for in-cal and customer standards/equipmentUse basic IT skills to set up laptops and label printers at customer sites or in-housePerform other related duties as assigned What we're looking for0–3 years of relevant experience (calibration, metrology, test/measurement, electronics, mechanical, or similar)Strong attention to detail and organizationComfort with statistics and measurement conceptsProficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)Strong time management and problem-solving abilitySelf-motivated learner who can work independently and still be a good teammateCompany DescriptionIN-CAL is an ISO/IEC 17025 accredited commercial calibration laboratory located in southern NH.
