Job DescriptionThe Field Calibration Technician will provide immediate support for electronic, mechanical and process calibration services in accordance with established procedures and standards. This position will typically operate independently, applying job skills and company policies and procedures to complete a wide range of difficult tasks. This includes assignments that are moderately complex in nature where good judgment is required in resolving problems and making routine recommendations. The Field Calibration Technician will abide by good housekeeping practices and will perform some administrative duties. The ideal applicant will be self-motivated, highly organized, possess a strong commitment to customer service and excel in a team-orientated environment. Calibrations will primarily be performed at our customer facilities (some overnight travel is required) with some work in our own environmentally controlled labs (Hudson, NH). Responsibilities· Calibrate inspection, measurement, and test equipment (IM&TE) in one or more of the following disciplines – Acoustical, Chemical, Dimensional, DC/Low Frequency, RF/Microwave, Fluid, Mechanical, Optical, Thermodynamics, and Time & Frequency, to ensure compliance with published specifications· Perform maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of precision equipment· Collect, compile, measure, summarize, and record data gathered during calibration· Basic IT skills to set up laptops and label printers at customer sites or in-house· Identify IM&TE out-of-tolerance conditions and perform corrective action via adjustments, component replacement, correction factors, etc.· Identify and correct measurement errors, as applicable· Prepare calibration reports and certificates· Provide feedback and assist in process and procedure improvement· Understanding of TAR, TUR, ISO/IEC 17025:2017, and uncertainties· Proper handling and care of In-Cal and customer equipment and standards· Interact with other technicians, Customer Service Representatives, customers, and vendors· Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned Desired Education and Experience· 0-3 years experience· Strong understanding of statistics· Excellent attention to detail and organization· Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)· Strong time management and problem-solving skills· Self-motivated ability to learn new skillsCompany DescriptionIN-CAL is an ISO/IEC 17025 accredited commercial calibration laboratory located in southern NH.
