Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional customer service to enhance their shopping experience
• Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for retail sales transactions, including cash handling and cash drawer management
• Demonstrate products to customers, including product demos and explaining features to encourage upselling opportunities
• Maintain stock levels by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and merchandising products attractively
• Assist with inventory management, including stock checks and reporting low inventory levels
• Uphold store cleanliness and organization standards to ensure a safe and inviting environment
• Use effective phone etiquette when handling inquiries or assisting customers remotely
• Support supervising staff in daily operations and ensure compliance with store policies

Experience

• Prior retail sales experience preferred, especially in grocery stores or similar environments involving customer interaction
• Familiarity with POS systems, cash register operations, and retail math calculations required
• Proven ability to upsell products and promote store merchandise effectively
• Bilingual skills are a plus to serve diverse customer bases better
• Experience in supervising or leading team members is advantageous but not mandatory
• Strong communication skills with an emphasis on friendly, professional interactions
• Knowledge of retail store product knowledge, merchandising techniques, and cash handling procedures
