Location: Victor, NY // HYBRID position (in office as required by job duties)
REDCOM Laboratories, Inc., a U.S. company that specializes in the development of advanced strategic, operational, and tactical communication solutions, is looking for a Software Test Co-Op to join our team.
In this position, you will support the testing of REDCOM products. Our products provide secure real-time voice, video, and chat communication capabilities and make a tangible difference around the world every day. We are looking for someone who enjoys learning, testing, and solving problems - someone who thrives while working in a supportive team environment where you can have fun while meeting your project goals. In your day-to-day you will test specified product functionality, certification requirements, and interoperability for our Sigma platform of products.
Specifically, we are looking for a Software Test Co-op who enjoys collaboration and can work as a member of a team. Someone who can learn to execute test plans, set up and maintain their test environment, analyze and troubleshoot system issues, and communicate effectively. We operate in an Agile/Scrum environment and use current software development and test practices.
Candidates must be in active pursuit of a BS or MS in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. Preference is given to students who can commit to a double-block full time Co-Op position. Freshman students will be considered; however, preference is for Sophomore and Junior year students.
We know that part of a Co-Op experience will be learning some new skills and technologies, but the ideal candidate would possess one or more of the following:
- Knowledge of software test methods
- Problem solving and troubleshooting skills
- Basic knowledge of IP/Networking
- Basic computer skills / web and command line interfaces
- Knowledge of/prior participation in the Agile product development process

Software Test Co-Op Hiring Range $20.00 - $22.00 / hour, based on 40-hours weekly
Salary : $20 - $22
