About the Role
We’re seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead our Magnetics manufacturing division across multiple production sites (Greater Long Island, NY, and Mexico). This high-visibility leadership role will drive operational performance, align production with revenue goals, and lead continuous improvement initiatives across a multi-site organization.
Responsibilities
- Customer & Program Success
- Ensure production meets or exceeds On-Time Delivery (OTD), quality, and customer satisfaction metrics.
- Collaborate with Planning to align build plans with backlog, forecasts, and business priorities.
- Monitor program performance and proactively address schedule or delivery risks.
Team Leadership
- Lead a cross-functional, multi-site operations team including 3–5 direct reports.
- Recruit, train, and develop production talent at all levels.
- Align workforce planning and resource allocation with active and projected workload.
Productivity & Continuous Improvement
- Ensure adherence to documented work instructions and operational best practices.
- Identify and implement process improvements, automation opportunities, and standardization efforts.
- Lead capital investment (CapEx) projects focused on efficiency, throughput, and quality.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Procurement to maintain optimal material flow and minimize production delays.
- Work closely with Engineering to support product development and NPI (New Product Introduction) transitions.
- Coordinate with Sales and Planning to ensure operations scale in step with demand forecasts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required (Engineering, Manufacturing, or Business); Master’s preferred.
- 5 years of progressive manufacturing operations leadership experience.
- ERP/MRP proficiency; experience with Glovia ERP is a plus.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish required.
- Ability to travel to Mexico-based facilities quarterly.
