Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery (L&D) - Travel

Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our high-risk Labor & Delivery unit on a travel basis. This role is ideal for a dedicated, clinically skilled professional with experience in managing complex maternal and neonatal cases in a high-volume, high-acuity hospital setting. The successful candidate will provide expert care during night shifts, maintaining patient safety and clinical excellence in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

·       Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients during labor, delivery, and postpartum periods.

·       Manage high-risk pregnancies, including pre-eclampsia, gestational diabetes, and fetal distress.

·       Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, neonatologists, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes.

·       Monitor and respond to changes in maternal and fetal status, including emergency interventions.

·       Maintain accurate, timely documentation in electronic health records.

·       Support patient and family education related to labor, delivery, and postpartum care.

Required Qualifications:

·       Active, unrestricted New Jersey RN license

·       Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

·       Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification

·       Minimum of 1 year of recent RN experience in a labor and delivery unit

·       Proven experience managing high-risk pregnancies in a large, tertiary care hospital

·       Demonstrated ability to manage a high patient census with efficiency and accuracy

·       Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and communication skills
