Senior Application Support Engineer with .NET

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Application Support Engineer to provide production support, application maintenance, troubleshooting, and minor enhancements for Electric Transmission applications. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in application support, software development, incident resolution, and root-cause analysis to ensure system stability and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide production support, maintenance, and troubleshooting for enterprise applications.
- Investigate and resolve application incidents, technical defects, and system issues.
- Ensure application availability, performance, and operational stability.
- Develop and enhance application functionality through backend development and coding.
- Perform system analysis, configuration, unit testing, and defect validation.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and architecture teams.
- Conduct code reviews, technical documentation, and root-cause analysis.
- Support application modernization, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Manage deliverables, estimate development efforts, and mentor junior engineers.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Application Support, Software Engineering, or Application Development.
- Strong expertise in production support, troubleshooting, and incident management.
- Experience with backend systems, application enhancements, and enterprise integrations.
- Strong understanding of software development principles and application architecture.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the Electric Utility, Energy, or Power Transmission industry.
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies, cloud migration, application modernization, and cybersecurity.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
