We are looking for a high-agency finance professional to help build and scale our financial operations and reporting infrastructure. This role sits at the intersection of accounting, operations, and FP&A, and will be critical in ensuring data accuracy, improving financial processes, and enabling better decision-making as we grow. You will own core financial workflows (order-to-cash, inventory, reporting) while helping build the foundation for scalable planning and analysis.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Own and improve order to cash process, including inventory management, sales and collection along with the logistics and accounting teams
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of data in internal systems (orders, returns, fulfillment) while reducing manual work
  • Partner with operations and logistics to improve inventory tracking
  • Support monthly close in partnership with external accounting firm, in particular AP, AR, and expense reimbursements
  • Help accelerate and improve the close process
  • Analyze monthly financials, research and report on variances to plan
  • Analyze revenue, COGS, OPEX, AR, AP, and inventory
  • Support budget planning through business partnership
  • Ad hoc financial analysis as needed

This role requires:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting
  • 8 years of experience in accounting, financial planning and analysis (FP&A), consulting, or a related function
  • Experience with inventory accounting processes
  • Excellent Advanced Excel financial modeling skills
  • Experience with presenting to executive management
  • Comfortable working across accounting, operations and FP&A
  • Demonstrated ability to manage ambiguity in a constantly evolving environment
  • High ownership mindset; able to operate independently in an evolving environment
  • Demonstrated ability to take ownership of tasks and results while holding yourself and others to high standards
  • Proven experience collaborating across disciplines and functions, recognizing that cross-functional partnership drives success
  • A bold, experimental mindset that embraces risk and thinks beyond current limitations
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to deliver honest, constructive feedback with both care and directness.

And some things that would be a huge bonus (but not necessarily required):

  • Experience in expense management and budget planning cycles
  • Hardware or inventory-heavy start-up experience helpful

Job Location

San Francisco - in office (potential for 1-2 days a week remote)

Compensation Target

$100,000 - $175,000 meaningful equity, depending on experience
