Overview
Improvix Technologies is seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure Solution Architect to drive the design, modernization, and optimization of enterprise infrastructure across federal programs. This role requires a well-rounded technical leader with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, business-focused insights for executives and stakeholders. The ideal candidate combines deep infrastructure, cloud, and data expertise with working knowledge of application development, DevOps, and VDI environments, ensuring holistic, mission-aligned solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Architecture & Communication
- Translate technical jargon into digestible language for customers, executives, and mission partners.
- Develop and present technology roadmaps that align with strategic objectives and anticipate emerging needs.
- Evaluate and integrate new technologies (AI, automation, cloud modernization, collaboration platforms) to enhance operational capabilities.
- Lead vendor and partner management, ensuring quality delivery and alignment with performance objectives.
- Advise leadership on modernization priorities, risk posture, and long-term technical direction.
Infrastructure & Cloud Modernization
- Architect and execute end-to-end infrastructure solutions across on-prem, cloud, and hybrid environments.
- Lead cloud migration and transformation initiatives (Azure, AWS, GovCloud) with emphasis on scalability, cost optimization, and resilience.
- Implement continuous optimization frameworks to align services with evolving customer missions.
- Oversee performance, compliance, and disaster-recovery planning across infrastructure platforms.
Cross-Domain Integration
- Collaborate with application development teams to ensure infrastructure supports modern app frameworks and CI/CD pipelines.
- Partner with DevOps engineers to automate deployments, monitoring, and patching using Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell).
- Support VDI and collaboration systems to ensure secure, high-availability communications across mission environments.
Data & Analytics Enablement
- Design and optimize enterprise data environments leveraging Azure Data Lake, Databricks, Snowflake, AWS Redshift, and Cribl.
- Enable analytics and AI readiness through secure, scalable, and well-governed data architectures.
- Align infrastructure modernization with enterprise data strategy and mission analytics objectives.
Execution & Delivery
- Lead cross-functional technical teams to deliver on-time, high-impact modernization projects.
- Establish and enforce governance frameworks, standards, and best practices.
- Drive measurable outcomes focused on performance, cost savings, and mission enablement.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Experience: 10 years of professional experience in IT infrastructure architecture, solution delivery, and modernization.
- Proven success translating complex technical concepts into executive-level narratives and business impact.
- Hands-on expertise in:
- Infrastructure & Virtualization: VMware, Citrix, HCI, networking, and security frameworks.
- Cloud Platforms: Azure, AWS, GovCloud, hybrid cloud architecture.
- Automation & IaC: Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell DSC, ARM, CloudFormation.
- Data Platforms: Azure Data Lake, Databricks, Snowflake, AWS Redshift, Cribl.
- DevOps & App Support: CI/CD, Jenkins, GitLab, API integrations, containerization.
- VTC & Collaboration: Microsoft Teams, ZoomGov, Cisco, and enterprise AV integrations.
- Strong leadership and vendor-management experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to influence both technical and executive audiences.
Preferred
- Certifications: AWS/Azure Solutions Architect, VMware VCP, Cisco CCNP/CCIE, ITIL, TOGAF.
- Federal experience leading AI, cloud migration, and digital transformation initiatives.
- Track record of continuous service optimization and aligning technology evolution with business outcomes.
Salary : $160,000 - $200,000
