Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Home-Based Therapist to join our dynamic mental health and behavioral services team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive therapeutic support to individuals and families within their home and community settings. Your expertise will help clients overcome challenges related to mental health, developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, trauma, and substance use. Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments to identify individual needs, strengths, and treatment goals using diagnostic evaluation techniques.
• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans incorporating evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), applied behavior analysis (ABA), art therapy, and crisis intervention strategies.
• Provide individual, group, family, and child counseling sessions focused on behavioral health, mental health counseling, and social work principles.
• Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to foster client engagement and facilitate positive behavioral change.
• Manage crisis situations effectively through crisis management protocols and conflict management skills, ensuring safety for clients and staff.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation, records, and case notes in compliance with HIPAA regulations and medical terminology standards.
• Collect data on client progress to inform treatment adjustments and ensure accountability in service delivery.
• Collaborate with families, caregivers, educators, and community agencies to coordinate home & community care plans that support clients’ ongoing needs.
• Engage in ongoing professional development related to working with individuals with disabilities, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), PTSD care, special education strategies, and working with children.

Experience

• Proven experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), or other behavioral health conditions in a home or community setting.
• Demonstrated proficiency in behavioral therapy techniques such as applied behavior analysis (ABA) and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT).
• Background in mental health counseling or social work with a focus on crisis intervention and case management.
• Familiarity with medical records management, medical documentation standards, and medical terminology relevant to behavioral health services.
• Experience working with children and families in a therapeutic context is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations ensuring confidentiality and privacy of patient information is essential.
• Ability to manage conflict effectively while maintaining a positive therapeutic environment.
